Juice Beauty Full Strength Green Apple Peel

I first wrote about Juice Beauty's Full Strength Green Apple Peel back in April, when I received it as a sample in my first Birchbox.  Back then, I wasn't blown away.  This had absolutely no effect on my skin whatsoever; I tucked it away in my "sample drawer" (yes, I seriously have one) and forgot about it.  Fast forward to last weekend, when I was home sick Saturday and my skin was going crazy.  I came across the Green Apple Peel again and figured with my Nyquil-induced reasoning, "What the hell, I may as well try this again.  Can't hurt, might help, right?"

I immediately applied a thick layer over my face and hung out watching Factory Girl for the next ten minutes, then rinsed it off.  Although the packaging warns that you may experience tingling or redness with the peel, it miraculously had no such effect on my super sensitive, prone-to-redness skin.  It felt a little warm, but that's all.  Because of this, I didn't expect much. 

When I woke up the next morning, though, my skin was SMOOTH and GLOWING in a way that it almost never does, especially when I'm suffering a nasty cold.  My opinion of the Green Apple Peel has changed entirely for the better.  If you're looking for a great organic skincare line, Juice Beauty is fantastic and gives great clinical results like no other natural products I've tried.

Two Favorite Eyeshadows: NARS Daphne & Tarte for True Blood The True Death

The True Death from the Tarte for True Blood eyeshadow palette is the sparkly-est, shimmery-est, most perfect shade of silver eyeshadow there ever was.  I'm obsessed.  A great many silver eyeshadows are, in fact, disappointingly grey.  Not the True Death, oh no.  It's pure silver!   It's definitely my favorite shade from the palette.  I love pairing it with purple eyeshadow shades (especially NARS Daphne) and my beaded/sequined skirt, which is exactly what I wore last week.

Trend: Rose Gold

It seemed rose gold was EVERYWHERE on the runways at New York Fashion Week.  Constant reports kept coming on my Twitter feed about this gorgeous shade that's appearing in hair, on nails, and eyelids.

The rose gold highlights at Peter Som were especially eye catching, with bold streaks and more subtle elements.  Ask your hairdresser about getting your own!  It looks like this could be stunning mixed in with any hair color.  I'm especially intrigued with how it would look in my ginger locks.

MAC PRO Pigment in Rose Gold Metal was also spotted on the runways.  Unfortunately it can be difficult to find, as it's only available in MAC PRO stores and nowhere online.  If you can get your hands on this precious shade, you're golden (ha!).

More than anything, I can't wait to get this metallic shade on my nails.  Nail polish is the easiest way to rock the rose gold trend, so keep your eyes out for Orly's Rage!
